Adobe photoshop CS5 - create cracks on the face [TUT]

Photoshop in todays world is a compulsion for everyone who is into computing. Right now, it is reaching heights in manipulation of pictures, and making them look the way you want to. Cs6 version is the latest one, and the bestest one. It provides you with a range of tools to work with. So here is one such effect that would be fun to do, and give an amazing effect at the same time.

I am talking about creating cracks in the face. Oh yes. All you need is to follow few simple steps, and you are going to be done.

How to Create Cracks On the Face in Photoshop CS6

1. First of all open the picture you want to create the effects on, a portrait one preferably.
2. Go to google, and type “cracks in the wall”, and have a look at the list of pictures. Download an image with cracks in the wall.
3. Copy past the image right above the portrait image.
4. In the right corner, a box with layers will be available. You can see both the pictures that you have selected in two separate layers. Make sure that the crack layer is above the portrait one.
5. Now chose the crack image in the layers box, and with just a click on the drop down menu on the layer box. There will be a variety of options available. Once you click on the ‘multiply’ option, the portrait image will be automatically given the crack effect.
6. With a click on the history brush, and erase the unnecessary cracks from the face.
